Bring It On, Campus Rockers!

Yashmith_TOI_10_09_2015If there’s one word to describe the auditions at SRM University , Ramapuram -it can only be `electrifying’. The enthusiastic students of the college made a beeline to participate in the Clean & Clear Chennai Times Fresh Face 2015. While some were spotted rehearsing before the event, others confidently took over the stage when their names were called out. The judges, actor Yashmith and RJ Nandini, were pleasantly surprised to see the youngsters display a wide canvas of talents.

R Sunil Subramanian, who played both fast and slow numbers on keys emerged as the winner among boys. The first runner-up Sauradeep Ganguly’s beat-boxing skills not only impressed the audiences, but the judges, too. Meanwhile, Vatsalya Brahmabhatt’s flawless singing earned him the second runner-up title.

Among girls, VS Sahana won the winner’s title as she impressed the judges with her vibrant dance moves. Somdutta Das’s soothing rendition of a Hindi number and Ishweriavalli’s classical dance performance made them win the first and the second runners-up titles, respectively.
